For the Love of Flowers

As a child I always tried to figure out what all the fuss was about Spring.

We sang songs about flowers and happiness and on Spring day we could even wear clothes with flowers to school (only the girls though).

But to me it made absolutely no sense.

You see, here in Namibia we celebrate spring on the 1st September (southern hemisphere).

But there are hardly any flowers?

It was only when I went to London for a couple of years that I fully understood the term spring.

As Spring is nearing, I though to post a few photos of flowers. These are all photos of flowers from imported plants or plants that flowered sometime ago. When it is actual spring day, I will try to find a few trees in bloom and post those.

But for now… the only plant I own… (My husband insists that he has the green fingers… (all my rose bushed died!))
