The Promise of New Life

For weeks I have been watching our Guava tree pushing new buds. I have been wanting to capture those beautiful white blossoms, but either the light was not right or Mr H didn’t allow me to take a bit of a mommy-break. However, last night we had a light shower and everything was fresh and clean this morning. The light was perfect and Mr H slept until 7am. I had all my ducks in a row.

I ran into the house, changed lenses and out I went… clicking away.

Guava Buds Guava Buds Guava Buds

As I walked (read crawled) around the tree, I had a very curious crowd. The dogs were looking at me with a look that said: “Oh my, she’s lost it again…” But Dipstick, our cat, had more faith in me. She wanted to see what could possibly be so interesting. And so… as I focused on the last flower, I suddenly lost all focus…

The flower went all catty…
