Changes in Travelling Arrangements

A few months ago I did what all women at some stage in their lives do… I bought this precarious stick that is supposed to tell you whether your life will stay the same or whether it will change rather drastically in 8 months or so. Then, one lovely Monday morning, I thought let’s try this thing out, let’s see if it works. Looking back, I’m not so sure what “works” actually meant to me. Did it work if it showed negative or was it a waste of time when it showed two little stripes? What I do know is that when it shows two little stripes, one’s budget for just about everything is seriously curtailed. And how would I know that? My little gadget showed two stripes… Of course, my husband being a gadget kind of man, didn’t believe it and promptly went out buying a second, different make, gadget that is supposed to be the best out there. It showed the same thing…

Now why am I telling you this? Is Travelling Namibia going to become a pregnancy blog? No. Not at all. But, it will, in a few months from now, become rather silent – if I have to believe all the moms out there. And then, our travelling will become slightly different and I think our luggage quite a bit more. My parents in law, knowing how much we like to walk the dogs and travel, have already chirped in and bought us our first new piece of luggage…

So for now, travelling continues the way it has always done – though I must admit that it is already fairly limited due to budget restraints. (Saving up for nappies!) And we can still travel with our smaller car, the biggest luggage being our Cocker’s bed… Happy days!
